If We Had the Day...
Or an afternoon. Or an evening. Or a weekend.
Some of my favorite memories have nothing to do with where I was. They have everything to do with who I shared the experience with.
I love a long lunch that turns into cocktails. Or wandering through a museum with nowhere else to be. Imagine us sitting in a hotel suite watching the city change from day to night. Or finding a restaurant we’ll both talk about months later. Even something as simple as walking through a neighborhood neither of us knows very well can end up being romantic.
I think that’s what draws me to this life. I like leaving room for curiosity and spontaneity. My goal isn’t just to check off all the beautiful hotels, incredible restaurants, or first class experiences... although I’ll never say no to any of those. It’s to have the time to actually enjoy them. To order another cocktail because the conversation is too good to end. To laugh until we forget what time it is.
Below is an example of the kind of day I enjoy most. Perhaps it'll inspire a wonderful date of our own.
A Perfect Saturday in the Fall
Put on a cute outfit, go for a walk
Head to the Gold Coast to see the pretty fall decorations
Let's begin on Goethe, head north on Dearborn, back south down State St, then back north on Astor. This will give us the best tour of the decorations!
Get coffee & a croissant at Elaine’s
Green City Market (think fresh fruit, bouquet of flowers)
Gemini for brunch, sit outside if possible. Can't forget cinnamon rolls!
Go back to our suite and relax 😏
For dinner go to the Carlyle Club on the river

The Overnight
Some dates start well and only get better from there...
This is where the version of me you haven’t met yet tends to show up. A little less "on", a little more myself. The heels come off, the music gets lower, and whatever chemistry we built up takes the lead for a while. Maybe we stay up talking until 2 a.m.
I firmly believe in the power of a good suite upgrade. Bonus points for a bathtub that requires its own square footage, filled with bubbles just for us. We have no particular plans for the morning so we can stay up, play, sleep in, and see who we are before either of us has had coffee. That’s not a small thing. And it's one reason why this is my personal favorite.
Bespoke Experiences
Not every memorable experience fits neatly into a category. Sometimes there’s a destination you’ve always wanted someone to share with you. A special occasion worth celebrating. An evening you’ve imagined but haven’t quite known how to create.
